Who Are You?
A Biblical View
If you CONFESS with your mouth
Jesus as LORD,
and BELIEVE in your heart
that God raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved;
for with the heart a person believes,
resulting in righteousness,
and with the mouth he confesses,
resulting in salvation.
-- Romans 10:9-10
Then:
You are a child of the living God. You are His heir. You have been forgiven of your sins, redeemed, and declared no longer guilty. You have been set free from the law of sin and of death.
You are holy and blameless in His eyes. You have been reconciled to God and are now a member of His family. You are part of the body of Christ. You are His ambassador, the salt of the earth and the light of the world. You are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.
You are indwelt by the Holy Spirit having been sealed in Christ with the Holy Spirit of Promise until the day you die. You are a temple of God. From your innermost being flows rivers of living water. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. You have been given authority over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.
You have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, a saint by His calling. You are one in Christ Jesus. You are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. You are justified and at peace with God. You are a friend of God.
You are God's possession. You are not your own, you have been bought with a price, you belong to Jesus. You have been made complete. You are a new creature in Christ. You are seated in heavenly places and your citizenship is in heaven. You are in the world but you are not of the world.
Your name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life and you are on your way to heaven.
But until you get there,
you are living in this world in order
to praise,
to glorify
to magnify
your Savior,
the Lord Jesus Christ,
to reflect Him
and
to honor Him.
Praise and Glorify:
Openly expressing your gratitude and reverence for Jesus through prayer, worship, and sharing your faith with others.
Magnify:
Highlighting Jesus' greatness and importance by demonstrating his attributes like love, compassion, and forgiveness in your daily life.
Reflect Him:
Striving to embody Jesus' character and behavior, acting in a way that aligns with his teachings and values.
