Home>Waiting Upon the Lord

Waiting for the Lord isn't doing nothing-- rather it's
preparing your heart to receive "further instructions"
from God.

Waiting upon the Lord strengthens our faith, our
endurance, and our perseverence.

Waiting on God clarifies our true motivations and
re-focuses our perspective.  Most often, the wait is for
God to position us physically, emotionally, and sometimes
spiritually to hear from Him. And that takes time.

  HOW SHOULD WE WAIT:

     1.  Quietly    Lamentations 3:25-26
     2.  Patiently    Psalms 37:7
     3.  with Hope   Psalms 130:5
     4.  Courageously    Psalms 27:14
     5.  Expectantly    Micah 7:7
     6.  Continually    Hosea 12:6
     7.  with Faith    Galatians 5:5

  Hinderences of Waiting on God:

    1.  Worldly pressures
    2.  Fear (afaid of losing an opportunity)
    3.  Wrong focus (Focusing on your circumstances rather than God)
    5.  Wavering Faith (Believing one day and not the next)
